Big Thief announces upcoming ‘Somersault Slide 360’ North American Tour Dates
Indie rock band Big Thief has recently announced their upcoming ‘Somersault Slide 360 Tour’ consisting of 20 dates across North America. The tour is set to kick off in Sacramento, CA on September 17 and will cover various cities in the U.S. and Mexico before concluding in Houston, TX on November 7. Fans can also look forward to a performance at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium in October.
Addressing concerns of missing out on the tour, the band assured fans that the ‘Somersault Slide 360 Tour’ will continue into 2026, with more dates to be announced in the future. This tour marks Big Thief’s first American shows since 2023, when they were promoting their successful album ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You.’
In addition to their tour announcement, Big Thief released a pair of singles in 2023 and dealt with the departure of bassist Max Oleartchik for ‘interpersonal reasons.’ The band also contributed to a L.A. wildfires benefit EP to aid relief efforts for those affected by the fires.
During the break between studio releases, lead vocalist and guitarist Adrianne Lenker released her solo album ‘Bright Future’ in 2024, while drummer James Krivchenia dropped his album ‘Performing Belief’ in May 2025.
The ‘Somersault Slide 360 Tour’ dates include performances in various cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, New Orleans, and Dallas, promising an exciting and eclectic experience for fans of Big Thief. Be sure to keep an eye out for additional tour dates and updates from the band in the coming months.
