GameStop to Offer Additional Switch 2 Stock at Launch

GameStop has announced that they will have more Switch 2 stock available in-store and online when the console launches next month. The company shared details about their in-store events leading up to the June 5th launch, with a launch event beginning at 3PM local time on June 4th and Switch 2 pickups starting at 12AM EST / 9PM PST. For those who didn’t pre-order the Switch 2, GameStop reassured customers that they will have stock available. Pre-orders for the console opened on April 24th, with online pre-orders quickly selling out. However, some customers were able to successfully pre-order in-store. Best Buy also announced that ‘most’ stores will have extra Switch 2 consoles available in-store at launch. The Verge reached out to Walmart and Target for their launch day availability plans. Additionally, invitations to purchase a console through Nintendo’s direct sales started going out on May 8th. With various retailers offering additional stock and opportunities to purchase the Switch 2, it looks like customers will have more options to secure the highly anticipated console at launch.
